Role Play Dictionary As many people know, there are a variety of words used by many role players that are foreign to most every day people. Although those words may seem to 'spice up posts', it does not show a good role player to constantly only use those words. A good writer is judged by their ability to make words flow and fit together, not the large amount of 'nonsense words' they know. This guide is more to look up the meaning of unknown role play terms. New Arrivals - Acceptance Acceptance: All new members to Winds of Change must post here first to begin the game. Acceptance by someone is not required but all members must first post here for reference. Please read the requirements for acceptance posting within the board. Post examples must be at least 1,000 words in length.

Claiming Boards Claiming: Accepted mares may come here to be claimed by a stallion already residing in his own terrain. Any breed may claim any breed. (eg. A shire can claim a Shetland.)
The time limit on claiming is now one real life week. If after a week after a stallion first posts in her thread, a mare still hasn't been claimed, she will go with a stallion in her thread of her choice, without further rping. If there is one or more stallion in her thread, the mare will choose who she wants to go with.

Battle Grounds Battling: Fights over a mare will take place in the fighting grounds. Any other kind of fight (position in herd, two stallions over a terrain) will take place in that terrain. Only horses of the same type can fight against each other. A normal cannot fight against a draft, etc.
Either a step by step battle will be role played or a coin toss will settle the winner. If in the case of a role playing battle, one guardian must post the damage inflicted after each post. If no damage is obviously inflicted, the battle may proceed without guardian permission. Please keep battles short. Each equine has 3 moves and 1 dodge to fight with.

Stealing Bounds Stealing: Stallions currently in ownership of a terrain may attempt to steal mares from other stallions. A riddle must be made in the effect of secretly mentioning the mare's name or something to do with it. If the current stallion the mare is with does not answer the riddle correctly, the mare will go to the challenger, no matter whom she wishes to stay with. The riddle must first be approved by Inferno before issued.

Wilderness Plains Gathering: Every horse may come here to freely role play with one another. Un/claimed mares are allowed as well as stallions with or without access to a terrain. No fighting or breeding is allowed in the Plains. Claiming is allowed only if the mare is already claimed and she agrees to go with the stallion. Foaling is allowed only if the mare isn't claimed. Please do not clog up the boards with ooc posts.
Land of Immortal Memmorial and the Dead In this beautiful terrain the Immortal Royals used to come to seek relief from their constant worries of taking care of their mortal children. However, the Immortals have bid their last goodbye to the lands of Winds of Change, promising to look down on them from above. Now this terrain is for those who wish to view the Immortals as they used to be, in the days of their glory. It has also turned into a place where those who are dying can come, as a final resting place where they can be comforted by the presence of the Immortal memories.
(The threads from this board will never be deleted or moved, but please do not post unless your character is coming here to die, or you character wants to say goodbye to another character who is dying.)
Home Terrains Previously seperated by type, all home terrains have now been brought together. All types of equines now reside here, from the small Minis, to the giant Drafts. They now mingle together, though no one knows if it's for better or worse...
Claiming terrains: All terrains and types are now mixed. Each type can claim any terrain they want. (A draft could claim Marubi, etc). But, if there are no available terrains, or a normal stallion just wants a particular terrain, if he can get another normal stallion to come with him and tell either the Mini/Draft stallion that he must get out. The Mini/Draft stallion must leave at that moment. The Mini/Draft stallion is not allowed to fight back. Fights between same types is allowed.
